LTH is undesirable, cheaper, and produ ces less quality results, and the archival times for the LTH is much less. The older version, 1-4x, T0-1 media) is definitely the high-to-low (HTL) version of reflective dyes, and most critical recordists know that the difference is great between the two. I am UNCERTAIN about this assessment, but my research has told me that Panasonic has changed their reflective dyes (the 1-6x, RA1 media) and that the newer dyes are the low-to-high (LTH) version reflective dyes. The older version, 1-4x, is much harder to find and costs twice as much. The older version is much better, clearer, more defined, and the sound quality differs immensely. When comparing the recording quality of this version of BD-R (1-6x, RA1 media) to the older version (1-4x, T0-1 and T0-2 media) the difference is astounding. Disappointed in the recording quality of these discs ![]()
